Whole House Filtration Questions
Why doesn’t my pitcher filter handle San Diego water?
San Diego disinfects with chloramine, a chlorine-ammonia compound that is more stable than free chlorine. Standard activated carbon in pitcher and faucet filters does not break it down. Removing chloramine takes catalytic carbon, which is what our whole-house systems use, or reverse osmosis at the tap.

Does a whole house filter soften the water too?
HomePure systems include salt-free scale conditioning, which keeps hardness minerals from adhering to pipes and appliances. For complete hardness removal, a salt-based SoftPure softener is the stronger tool where district rules allow it. The free water test tells us which fits your home.
How long does installation take?
Most whole-house installs are done in a single visit by a licensed Paws Plumbing crew. We confirm placement and any permit needs at the free in-home water test before work is scheduled.
